The prism faces and the bottom of the quartz crystal exhibit amazing recrystalization pattern consisting of countless edges, striations and lustrous subfaces that generate a unique, sparkling appearance. The interior of the crystal is totally clear, i.e. free of cracks or inclusions. Seldom opportunity to get a decent specimen from Großglockner mountain!

Impressive matrix piece carrying fluorite cubes up to 3 cm edge length on a bed of quartz crystals. The fluorites are translucent and exhibit frosted surfaces of matt luster. They show complex coloring with purple edges over blue-green interiors, some even hold additional purple cores. The specimen is basically free of fresh damage, there are some mainly rehealed cleavage faces and rounded edges.
